To My Future Audience,
This Wife and Momma's Life Blog is all about being a wife and a full time, homeschooling Momma to three beautiful, silly, drive me crazy kiddos. My husband and I have been married since 2006, and before becoming a stay at home mom ten years ago, I worked full time at an Animal Hospital (a career I would definitely get back into when that season of life comes my way). We became a homeschooling family when our eldest son started first grade in 2015.
Being a SAHM has its ups and downs, but to be able to stay with your children during their early years is such a blessing! Homeschooling your children is not for every family, and it can sometimes be difficult especially when all the financial responsibility is fully placed upon one parent. In this day and age, it is almost required for both parents to work full time just to make ends meet. Every family must sit down to discuss the pros, cons, expectations, and reality of this lifestyle. All that being said, I believe we made the right decision in the path we chose. Even on the craziest days, the busiest days, the days when everyone has had a meltdown, a timeout, and even on the days when you wish you could put yourself in a timeout, I know we have made the right choice.
I am hoping for this blog to serve as a creative outlet, a place to vent to another Momma who might be going through the same stages in life with her kids, or maybe even a place another Momma can come to for tips and the good laugh she might need to cheer her up. As a momma of three living children, two of whom have a very rare metabolic, genetic condition called Galactosemia, having gone through losing a child, the newborn stage, breast feeding, formula feeding, terrible twos, potty training and teaching kinder kids to read, I feel like I have so much to offer other Moms. I can tell you what products, baby gear and gadgets have worked great for my family and what hasn't worked out so well.
So, to all the Mommas out there, please enjoy my weekly ramblings, stories, and tips on anything from Momma life, kid life, housewife life and everything in between. Subscribe and share on your social media sites with all your momma friends who just might relate... because even though we are all different, we all know what it's like to hand our four year old the wrong color sippy cup and completely ruin their day ;)
Best Wishes,
S. Auchter
